Wow, haven’t been on in awhile! Brief update: Came home from my Disney Cruise where I met my new best friend. Finished House of Hades. HOW INCREDIBLE WAS THAT?!?!?!? AND NONE OF MY BABIES DIED!!!!!!! =D I’ll be fangirling over that for the next three months, guys. I also started reading Rick’s other series The Kane Chronicles. I’m almost finished with it; I just need to read the last book, The Serpent’s Shadow. I like it well enough, but it just doesn’t compare with Percy and the Gang. Though I now totally ship Nico/Sadie, despite recent developments in HoO (you guys know what I’m talking about). Started working on my Halloween costume (I’m going as a Broken Porcelain Doll this year!). Starting to work on my GED. Yep, that’s pretty much what’s been going on in my life right now. For some strange reason, I’ve started shopping for Christmas presents extra, extra early this year. I’ve seriously never jumped the gun this early before guys, I swear on the River Styx!! I still find it ridiculous that they’ve already started to put Christmas stuff out at Walmart and Target, but I just can’t help myself. It’s my favorite thing about the holiday. I honestly don’t know what made me start this early. I guess I was just browsing through Etsy (best. website. ever.), saw stuff and was like “Ooh! That’s perfect for so-and-so! That could be their Christmas present!” and it just kind of snowballed (no pun intended) from there. I’m always obsessed with finding the absolute perfect gift for each person. I research and research and I like to find the most unique gifts that are heartfelt and not something that they would get everyday and reflects them as a person. Every person who has received a present from me always comments that I should be a professional gift-giver, or something! That always makes me feel good inside! =D I’ve also started creating my Christmas wish list, which is surprisingly short. As I’ve gotten older, the more content I’ve become with the things I already own and material possessions don’t mean as much to me as they did when I was young. Remember when you were little, and all those toy catalogues would come in the mail, and you’d circle about ten items on each page with a Crayola Washable Marker? It makes me smile to think about those times, and how much has changed since then. Unlike a lot of people, I’m not interested in upgrading every time a new iPhone comes out. I actually don’t even have a phone, and deal without it fine most of the time. But that’s actually the only thing I really want this Christmas: a phone with a really good camera. I have an iPod Touch 4G, but the camera isn’t a good quality, and I want to be able to take good pictures when I go on trips without the bulk of having to carry a camera, cell phone, and iPod. I’ve got my eye on the Nokia Lumia 1020. That one looks really good. Anywho, this post has gotten a lot longer than I planned on it being. I’m probably boring you. I’ll go now. Promise I’ll try to update more often!
